Rex Hospital to begin $60M Expansion

Rex Hospital has won approval from the state to begin building a $60 million cancer hospital on its main campus in Raleigh. Rex will renovate more than 21,000 square feet of their current space, and add more than 71,000 square feet of new space. Rex plans to break ground on the North Carolina Cancer Hospital in the fall of 2010.

Rex also has a $115 million outpatient center approved to begin construction, and applied for permission in June to spend $132 million to expand and renovate its operating room and its heart and vascular services and to create a new entrance.
