Raleigh is a Capital for Electric Cars

According for Forbes.com, Raleigh and the surrounding area are at the forefront of the electric car era. Raleigh is currently working to streamline the permitting process for residential charging stations, and studying an electrification plan for freight trucks. Raleigh is involved with Project Get Ready, an initiative founded by the Rocky Mountain Institute. The U.S. Department of Energy is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to support programs in select cities. Other cities that are involved are Portland, San Diego, Seattle, Nashville and Tampa.
