Going Green: RTI International teams with BASF

Research Triangle Park-based RTI International has teamed up with BASF Corp. to develop a new way of capturing carbon dioxide from power plants and other industrial facilities. The $2 million grant was awarded from the U.S. Department of Energy as a part of their stimulus funding. These two companies will partner to create a system that is not dependent on water, and uses 40 percent less energy than current emissions scrubbing systems.
